We have a vent valve here in the laundry room hooked to the dryers that returns the screened air to the rooms instead of outside.  When engaged it creates an almost endless light layer of screened dust to keep our patients and cleaning staff busily occupied at a positive activity.  Then when they return their dusting cloths for washing and drying, it perpetuates the chore by creating more lint for an almost endless cycle.  This is called positive reinforcement and is one of the many ways that patients realize their importance and self worth.
